In March our CEO Sue Coleman had the honour of speaking at an annual event held by Rotary District 1100 – which includes Rotary Clubs in Worcestershire and Herefordshire.
“Rotarians and those involved in Inner Wheel groups are amongst our strongest and most active supporters, and it was a pleasure to spend time with them hearing more about what the Rotary movement achieves for so many good causes – including our own. The ‘Celebration of Rotary’ held on 22nd March at The Hatherley Manor Hotel was a brilliant opportunity to thank them for the work that they do to support victim/survivors in West Mercia not only through their fundraising but also through the giving of their time – for example, to create a garden area at one of our refuges, and for making up fantastic gifts for women in another refuge every Christmas. Huge thanks also to Evesham Rotary who made it possible for me to be the guest speaker at this important event this year, and for their continued interest in the work that we do here at West Mercia Women’s Aid.”
