Thanks to the dedication of a long-standing volunteer, a beautiful new Peace Garden has been created for residents staying in our refuge.
For the past 9 years, this incredible volunteer has generously given her time each week, and recently led a heartfelt project to transform part of the garden into a serene space for rest and reflection. With the support of the Redditch and Bromsgrove Soroptimists – of which she is President – they cleared, planted, and shaped the area into a tranquil sanctuary for all to enjoy.
“It’s been lovely seeing the gradual development of the Sensory Garden at the Refuge. Bromsgrove and Redditch Soroptimists in Partnership with Regal Compost, Stoke Prior, Bromsgrove constructed the garden over time until it is as lovely as it is today. It’s our great pleasure to officially open the Garden today and we enjoy hearing about the positive effects it has on those that make use of it. We look forward to maintaining the garden into the future to keep it a beautiful space to help support the residents mental health and wellbeing” – Bromsgrove and Redditch Soroptimists
Last month, staff and residents came together to celebrate the official opening of the Peace Garden – a touching reminder of the power of community.
