This training will explore the impact and trauma associated with victim/survivors of domestic abuse. It will explore coping mechanisms adopted or sought by victim/survivors. We will provide an overview of the Specialist Domestic Abuse Service that West Mercia Women’s Aid provides.
Who is this course for?
This course is for professionals or volunteers who work in the health sector, social work, education settings and those who work in a safeguarding role and have responsibility for directly dealing with disclosures of domestic abuse and/or supporting victims and survivors. Learners should have a basic understanding of domestic abuse.
