At West Mercia Women’s Aid, we believe collaboration is key. By working with fantastic partner organisations, we can deliver projects and services that have a real, lasting impact – outcomes that would be difficult for any single agency to achieve.

We are proud to partner with The Right Path and Everyone’s Invited on the Young Person’s Prevention Project. Together, we combine expertise, best practices, and experience to provide high-quality, holistic support for young people across West Mercia.

The Right Path

Established in 2020, The Right Path supports young people aged 11–18 who may be disengaged from education, at risk of entering the criminal justice system, or experiencing social, emotional, and mental health challenges. Through early intervention and building trusting relationships, they help young people overcome barriers to success and improve their future prospects.

Within the Young Person’s Prevention Project, The Right Path delivers the ‘Unspoken Truth’ small-group sessions. These sessions encourage honest discussions about domestic abuse, gender stereotypes, objectification, harmful sexual behaviour, and healthy relationships. Using case studies, statistics, and scenario-based learning, the programme helps young people reflect on their own attitudes while guiding them toward healthier perspectives.

The Right Path also provides training for school staff, giving educators the confidence and tools to reinforce key messages and lead sensitive conversations, helping to create a supportive, whole-school approach.

Everyone’s Invited

Founded in 2020 and gaining charitable status in 2022, Everyone’s Invited (EI) is dedicated to exposing and eradicating rape culture with empathy and understanding. Their mission is to educate school communities, promote healthy relationships, and challenge harmful behaviours through specialist programmes.

Within the Young Person’s Prevention Project, EI delivers interactive talks and workshops to year groups on sexual wellbeing and healthy relationships. Using real-life testimonies, relatable examples, and pop culture references, EI encourages critical thinking, helping students identify unhealthy gendered pressures and behaviours in relationships.

EI also offers staff training, equipping school professionals to identify harmful behaviours, facilitate constructive discussions, and foster a culture of accountability and support when addressing issues like gender inequality and sexual violence.
