Colleagues from West Mercia Women’s Aid were pleased to accept an invitation from Worcestershire County Council to attend the recent Living Well event at The Hive.

The event brought together a wide range of local services, charities, and organisations, all focused on supporting people to live well, stay healthy, and access the help they need. Running from 10am to 3pm, the day featured a busy programme of displays, discussions, and talks covering a variety of health and wellbeing topics.

Visitors were able to access free blood pressure checks throughout the day, alongside one-to-one advice and guidance from professionals in Adult Services, offering practical support and information for attendees.

We were pleased to host a stall showcasing the work of West Mercia Women’s Aid, sharing information leaflets, cards, and posters about the range of services we provide across the region. The event provided a valuable opportunity to connect with colleagues from across the sector, strengthen relationships, and raise awareness of the support available to survivors of domestic abuse in Worcestershire.

The day also included uplifting performances from Rock Choir, whose lively set brought energy and positivity to the event. Attendees were also treated to an inspiring display of martial arts from the Worcester-based over-60s team, showcasing skill, strength, and community spirit.

Events like Living Well highlight the importance of joined-up working across health, social care, and community organisations. We are grateful to have been part of the day and look forward to participating in future events that bring services together in support of local communities.
