West Mercia Women’s Aid is excited to launch our latest fundraising challenge—a day of paddling, hiking, and community spirit in the stunning Wye Valley! On Sunday, 21st September, our team of staff, trustees, and supporters will take on the Symonds Yat Challenge to raise vital funds for the women and children we support.

This one-day multi-activity challenge, organised by Your Adventure Challenge, kicks off with an 8-mile canoe journey along the River Wye, starting at Kerne Bridge and flowing through one of the UK’s most scenic valleys. Next, participants will lace up their boots for a three-hour hike from Symonds Yat Rapids, through woodland trails to King Arthur’s Cave, and on to the breathtaking viewpoint at Symonds Yat Rock.

Not only is this an incredible opportunity to experience the outdoors and spot local wildlife, but it’s also a powerful way to stand in solidarity with survivors of domestic abuse and raise funds for our essential services.

What’s Included?
  • Canoes, paddles, life vests & safety equipment
  • Qualified guides for both canoeing and hiking
  • Training schedule and pre-event session
  • Walking poles and minibus transport
  • Full insurance for the event
Cost:
  • £150 per person, or
  • £75 with a minimum fundraising target of £300

Whether you’re a thrill-seeker, a nature lover, or simply looking to challenge yourself for a good cause, this event is for you.
