We’re incredibly grateful to the Hereford music community for coming together to support WMWA through a brilliant charity gig at The Jam Factory, Hereford, held on 23rd November.
Organised collaboratively by local bands, the night featured performances from Yūngold, Moxie Dolls, Calme, Solar Season, and Lola Gracelynn, who all shared their time and talent. On top of ticket sales, The Jam factory, Hereford Music Shop and Yūngold made additional donations totalling an amazing £1,060 to support our work.
We were first contacted by Oscar from Yūngold, who let us know about this exciting event and the plans that were being put in place. It was inspiring to see how local artists, businesses and the wider community worked together to create something so positive. We’d also like to thank The Jam Factory for hosting the gig, everyone who attended on the night, and kah.photography for capturing the atmosphere so beautifully.
This event is a wonderful example of how community-led fundraising can make a real difference. Whether it’s a gig, quiz night, bake sale, sponsored challenge, or something entirely your own, organising a fundraiser is a powerful way to support WMWA while bringing people together around a shared cause.
If you’re thinking about running a fundraising event, we’d love to hear from you. Every idea, big or small, helps us continue our work – and as this gig showed, when people come together, the impact can be incredible.
